Polyester is a very versatile fabric, with many advantages and applications – it is durable, lightweight, dries quickly, and can be used for almost any type of clothing. It has many disadvantages, it is not as comfortable and breathable as cotton, it is not recyclable, and the resources used to produce it are non-renewable.

Recycled polyester addresses one of these disadvantages, making it possible to reduce the environmental impact of the resources used by recycling plastics that have already been used.

Polyamide is also a synthetic fiber and, as such, has the disadvantage of contributing to waste accumulation. The fact that it is biodegradable eliminates this downside associated with synthetics and, depending on the type of polyamide used, it can even be converted into energy at the end of its useful life.
